HomeShaper Gallery
Yorba Linda, California
by Richmond American Homes

Standout first impressions made with stand-alone storefront approach. Before the buyer even enters HomeShaper, the gracious lobby/reception area beckons.

Once inside, the customer is greeted and guided, channeled down an impressively deep hallway...under a dark, focusing, art gallery-like high ceiling... enabling step-by-step, dramatically lit presentation of marketing and sales communications...

…branching from the hall, the entry-level customer is guided by the design counselor into the appropriate kitchen complete with Corian island "carousel" and an inset computer screen around which design counselors and buyers can review project-specific plans, standard appointments and options.

The move-up prospect is directed into a kitchen setting with a striking array of flooring, cabinet and countertop finishes appealing to this upwardly mobile segment.

Granite countertops, wood-finished refrigerator doors, built-in wine captain and a captivating selection of stone, tile and marble flooring finishes define this fully realized luxury kitchen.

Key to the presentations are the combination of real-scale installations of built-ins and furnishings with an eye-catching array of side by side options… such as the above dual-finished fireplace and mantel… note at rear the reference wall of materials selections…

…or again in this first-time, first-time move-up bath where multiple countertop and cabinet finishes highlight an upgraded leaded-glass tub window…note this was achieved without upgrading the field tiles and standard lighting.

For the luxury customer, the “height” of luxury and choice is symbolized by a soaring fireplace treatment that divides and rises to the top of the ceiling’s tall drama, or…

...in a less formal, but decidedly upscale family room vignette, nothing is left to chance…all appointments are built-in, coordinated and fit-finished to the last detail.

One of HomeShaper’s most memorable and successful aspects was its “YardShaper” presentation of exterior home and rear-yard entertainment standard and upgrade features…

…likewise well remembered and effective were displays such as PowerShaper, which served to acquaint future residents with technologies that could shape and enhance their lifestyle, energy use and security.

Tool-timers were not forgotten at HomeShaper. Less in size that a full-scale garage, this “gallery-garage” nevertheless expertly demonstrated all the key components and equipment appropriate to the space.

In the end, however, HomeShaper Gallery never forgot its fundamental role as the design “closet” where the full array of materials, colors and finishes are displayed in a series of easy-to-access wall catalogs.
